Stoney was his owner's first field trial dog!

Stoney had a whirlwind Field Trial career that started at age 3, when we convinced owner Greg Kane to let us trial him. You may view his trial history and pedigree here.

Stoney has a great temperament with other dogs and people. He, like Pie, runs with all of our other males regardless of whether we have females in season. He has an incredibly good nose and is flashy when running and, best of all, he tends to throw his tremendous light up and go crazy find and flush.

A medium sized white and liver dog, Stoney is OFA Good, CERF 2003, PFK clear, has a scissors bite, thyroid panel normal (Univ. of Michigan) and is AKC DNA typed.

Stoney's first litter has completely blown us away with their nose-power. Most are full time house pets and serious hunting companions. Several are in trial homes, and we enjoyed watching Lighthouse Upland Scout and Lighthouse Furious Storm during their puppy stake career, competing well and earning placements. Doorcreek Masons Dixieland Jazz, from another litter, is also exciting us with his biddability and strong bird finding. Mason is now AFC Doorcreek Masons Dixieland Jazz. Also running in the occasional Open stake with Jason and Amateur with owner, Brad Keil, Lighthouse Upland Scout has multiple placements.

Bred to the following bitches:

  • Lighthouse Passion Play: 8 puppies (3 F, 5 M)
  • Twigs Sonny Dot: 8 puppies
  • AFC Doorcreek Annie: 6 puppies (3 F, 3 M)
  • Ginger of Barnaby Hills: 5 puppies (3 F, 2 M)
  • Welshwoods Flight of Fancy NA NAJ: 10 puppies (5 F, 5 M)
