2004:

  • National Amateur: Dave & Ally placed 4th!!!! Yahoo!!
  • National Open: Jason & Chip made it to the 5th series. Greg & Rummy completed the trial. Yay!
  • 11/13-14/04: Team Lighthouse rounds out the regular season with a last placement: Jason and Scout took 2nd at the Iowa trial. Congrats to Greg Kane and Stoney on their 4th in the Amateur!! Its been quite a season for us! We've won or placed every weekend this Fall!!
  • 11/06-07/04: ANOTHER WIN!! Jason and Ally won the WATKC, made extra special since its our home trial. Jason & Phoebe took the 2nd place ribbon, as well. Yahoo!! Congrats to Dale & Chase on their puppy win. What a fun weekend!
  • 10/30-31/04: Yet another win: Jason and Riley took home the Blue ribbon from the Illinois trial. Riley has really been a player this Fall! In the Amateur, Norb Jamnik and Gracie took 4th, and in the puppy, Dale Rismeyer and Chase took 2nd. Congratulations, everybody!!
  • 10/23-24/04: Team Lighthouse just keeps rolling on. Jason brought home both the win and a 3rd place with Fancy and Riley, respectively. Hooray! In the Amateur, Stacy Avery and Lizzie earned a 3rd place!
  • 10/16-17/04: At the Canadian National, Jason and Rev completed all series (including water). This is Rev's 4th time to complete a National! Yay! Even more fun, Greg & Rummy took 3rd place at there! Yahoo!!!
  • 10/09-10/04: The streak continues!! Jason and Our Old Man, Pie, take 3rd at the St. Croix Valley trial, while Sammy and Rowdy also completed the trial. This leaves Pie needing only one point for his FC title! In Canadian news, Greg & Rummy finished all three of the Sudbury trials, winning the second one and taking 4th in the last one! Yahoo!!!
  • 10/02-03/04: Chip and Jason do it again! They took a 3rd place at the MN Heartland trial. The amateurs showed off, too: Lynn & Slacker took a 2nd, while Kevin & Mac took 3rd! Fancy, Flask, and Sammy all finished the trial, too, so it was really a successful weekend! Keep it going!!
  • 9/25-26/04: The streak continues! Jason and Fogvalleys Roustabout WON the N.E. Wisconsin trial! Jason has now won this trial two years in a row (last year with AFC Brackenbuster Phoebe). What fun! Our puppies were also successful: Jason and Bergie took 2nd and Dale Rismeyer and Chase took 4th in the puppy stake. Yay! To add to it, Team Lighthouse was well represented by our Amateurs: Dave Smith and Ally took 2nd, and Lynn Christen and Slacker took 3rd! GO TEAM!!
  • 9/18-19/04: Another great trial Jason and Chip took 2nd at the North Dakota trial!
  • 9/11-12/04: A great beginning the the trial season: at the Northern MN trial, Jason took 2nd with Riley and 4th with Slacker! Yahoo!! In the puppy stake, Rich Russeff and Bert took 3rd! Yay!
  • Summer Update: Lighthouse Chocolate Chip and owner Dave Smith earned their MH title! Congratulations! The following dogs have passed their water tests: Lighthouse Samwise (Sammy), Melchris Firefly (Fire), and Denalisunflos Sweet Feliz (Lizzie). Lynn also handled Sir Jumping Jack Slack (Slacker) to pass his water test and we also heard from Scott Breaux that he and Doorcreek Mason’s Dixieland Jazz passed their water test. This completes Slacker’s FC and AFC titles and Mason’s AFC title! Congratulations!! Meanwhile Gunner and Bernie Rupp earned two SH legs (just two to go!), at the NE WI club’s hunt test. Hooray!!
  • 08/07/04: Congrats to Rich Russeff and Lighthouse Einstein’s Passing Fancy (Bert) for their 4th place in the prestigious Shooting Dog Stake at the SWSSC’s Fun trial! Congrats also to Dale Rismeyer for Jason and Chase’s 1st in the Puppy Stake.
  • 06/14/04 and 06/22/04: We are so pleased to report that all 20 puppies passed their eye exams. Hip Hip, Hooray! Lover ends her breeding career producing a total of 27 puppies (3 litters), all eye clear.
  • 06/12-14/04: Oh, Canada! Jason and the Team had fun in Manitoba. Open placements were as follows over the three days: Fire took a 3rd Place, Rev took a 2nd & a 4th, and Ally took a 4th. In the Puppy, Bergie took a 4th.
  • 05/29—30/04: What a great weekend! Jason went to the Central Ontario trial and had a great two trials! Phoebe took 2nd Place the first day. Slacker won and Flask took 2nd place on Day 2! Meanwhile, at the WATKC hunt tests, we had lots of qualifying runs, including the following: Tom Stibbe finished Sophie’s MH and Matt Chromy finished Pippin’s SH (and the pair earned their first MH leg on their first try!). Out on the East Coast, Bob & Elsie MacDonald finished up Sammy’s SH title and Maggie’s JH title! Congratulations all around!
  • 05/22/04: Jason and Phoebe took an Open 4th at the Central Connecticut trial! Greg Kane and Stoney also completed Stoney’s MH title. Congrats.
  • 05/02/04: Jason handled Stewart to a Puppy 4th, and Tracie and Phoebe earned an Amateur 3rd. Good going!
  • 04/26/04: Another two wins for the Team! Jason handled Slacker to an Open win at the Northern MN trial, and also handled Stewart to win the Puppy stake. Hooray!
  • 04/04/04: Another win for Team Lighthouse: Jason handled Slacker to an Open win! Tracie and Phoebe put in a great showing and took home 2nd place in the Amateur, while Jason handled Fire to a 2nd place in the Puppy. Yahoo!
  • 03/28/04: At the SWSSC trial, Team Lighthouse once again made us proud! Jason handled Slacker to a 2nd and Flask to a 4th in the Open, while Stewart took a 3rd in the very large puppy stake. Dave Smith handled Dyna to a 3rd in the Amateur. Fabulous!!
  • 03/14/04: At the Illinois trial, Team Lighthouse made a nice showing. Jason handled Pie to a 4th in the Open, and Fire to a 4th in the Puppy. Bigger news was Greg Miller and Rummy’s 2nd in the Open and Lynn Christen and Sir Jumping Jack Slack (Slacker) won the Amateur (Slack just needs a water test for his AFC title)!! Go, Team!!
  • 03/06/04: Go, Team! At the Stillwater Valley trial, Jason handled Chopper to 3rd in the Open and Fire to 1st in the Puppy. Mason was owner handled by Scott Breaux to an Amateur win at the Colorado trial that weekend—he just needs a water test for her AFC title! Congratulations, all the way around!
  • Spring 2004 Field Trial Seaso Preview: Team Lighthouse will be represented by Flask, Pie, Chopper, Phoebe, Riley, and Mason (and Butchy if the weather cooperates!). Michelle will be running Stewart and Evan (co-owned by Michelle with Elsie MacDonald) in Puppy Stakes. Stillwater will be the first trial—March 6th! Check in for more news after that!
